Add stability to your lifts with REP’s Leather Olympic Lifting Belt. A lifting belt acts as a tool to increase intra-abdominal pressure by giving your core muscles something to brace against as the abdominal wall expands. This added stability is why most athletes can lift more with a belt than without. This belt has been optimized for Olympic lifting, so it tapers from 4” wide in the back to 2.5” wide in the front. This creates excellent support with minimal bulk, to reduce interference with Olympic lifts. These belts are made from genuine leather for excellent comfort, support and durability, and they feature a finished, leather interior. The belt features a single-prong, steel buckle with a seamless roller for quick and easy adjustments. A buckle guard – an extra piece of leather behind the buckle – prevents loose clothing from catching on the belt.
Debossed REP logos on the loop and back of the belt, as well as a debossed REP mountain logo on the inside of the belt, add a textured, high-end look and feel. The belt’s specifications comply with IWF competition standards. The REP Leather Olympic Lifting Belt is 7mm thick and available in brown or black with silver hardware. It comes in sizes XS-XXL. To select the correct size, measure your waist – the circumference where you want to wear the belt – while you’re in your workout clothing. Generally, you want to center the belt over your navel. If your measurements fall in between sizes, go with the smaller option. Belt sizes are as follows: x-small (25″-32″); small (29”-35.5”); medium (33”-40″); large (37″-45″); x-large (41.5″-50″); and xx-large (46.5″-54.5″).
